What is the Plan?
This Group Insurance Plan is managed by Aon New Zealand
Limited.
Plan
Insurance covers have been tailored for and relate solely to the risks and
experience of professionals, generally regarded in the insurance industry as
a group of better risks.
The insurance
market is surveyed on a regular basis to develop and refine the especially
designed covers utilising the "bulk purchasing" power of the
group.
Many of the
cover enhancements are not generally available to the insurance buying
public.
Who Can Apply?
Cover is
available at competitive rates (subject to usual underwriting conditions) to
all legal practitioners including their family members.
What Discounts and Special
Terms are Available?
- Group Discounts apply.
- Additional discounts for
good claims experience, professionally installed burglar alarms and
higher voluntary excesses.
- A reduced excess applies
to burglary alarms under the Commercial Building & Office Contents
Insurances if a professionally installed burglar alarm is activated.
- Options to pay by
instalments.
What’s in the Plan?
Commercial Building
Insurance:
- Full Material Damage
Replacement Cost using present day building materials and methods.
- Earthquake Cover to full
value included.
Office Contents Insurance:
- Full Accidental Damage
Replacement Value irrespective of age.
- Items of field equipment
(i.e. laptops, cellphones, theodolites and the like) are covered up to
$5,000 without specification.
- Cover keys stolen and/or
locks damaged during a burglary - $5,000.
- Money cover:
- $5,000 in safe and during
business hours.
- $500 outside safe during
non-business hours.
- Employees’ effects, not
otherwise insured, up to $2,000 per employee.
- Refrigerated Goods cover
to $1,000.
- Earthquake cover to full
value included.
Business Interruption
Insurance:
- Loss of earnings
- Loss of rents
or
more limited cover for increased working costs only.
- Re-writings of
records
- Irrecoverable book
debts
- following loss or
damage to the premises and other dependencies.
Motor Vehicle
Insurance:
- Full Accidental
Damage cover and Third Party Liability.
- More limited Fire,
Theft and Third Party Liability cover only also available.
- Business or
private use.
- Replacement value
for vehicles under 12 months old. Market Value settlement for
damage to other vehicles.
- Free cover for
broken or damaged windscreens and glass.
- Signwriting cover.
- Free cover for
trailers up to $600.
- Return home costs
up to $500.
- Third Party
Liability and Defence Costs cover up to $5,000,000.
- No Claims Bonus
and Excess Protection when not "at fault" and involved
in an accident with an uninsured, identified, third party.
General (Public
Liability) Insurance:
- Legal Liability
for Third Party Bodily Injury or Property Damage.
- Forest & Rural
Fires Act cover.
- Exemplary &
Punitive Damages cover up to $1,000,000.
- Various Limits of
Indemnity available on request.
- Optional
Consequential Loss cover available.
